We have been so happy with the care given by Dr Hyer. My daughter is a very anxious child and Dr Hyer dealt with her with care & compassion (and a dose of fun) throughout the process of testing for Coeliac Disease. Dr Hyer explained each step in detail and answered all questions from myself and my daughter, which gave us great reassurance. We were a little nervous visiting the hospital in the midst of the COVID pandemic. I have to say that these fears melted away fairly quickly once at the hospital. On arrival, our temperature was taken and hand sanitiser / masks were provided. Everyone wore their masks at all times. The staff were super helpful and we were in and out in prompt time.

Dr Hyer was encouraging and determined. Our son had a OGD procedure at Portland Hospital and everything went very quickly and smoothly, even during these difficult times. The hospital couldn't be better organised to face Covid-19 virus. I am glad we decided to progress and listen to Dr Hyer recommendation.

Our son, was taken extremely ill and was very weak, during the first week of the Covid-19 lock down . After having his bloods examined , he was immediately referred to Dr Hyer and truly amazing team at the St Marks Hospital within Northwick Park. Time was of the essence for our son and and the resources available to Dr Hyer were very limited on this occasion as nearly all of the NHS was in preparation for the massive task ahead of dealing with COVID 19 Patients . Dr Hyer and his IBD nursing team pulled out the stops , and worked incredibly hard to make sure they could find any window in the surgical staff's very limited rota to make sure our son was seen ASAP and have the surgical treatment he so badly required . I truly believe if this had not happened ,at the urgency and consummate professionalism of Dr Hyer, our sons condition would be a lot worse now and we as family would have been in a terrible , difficult position having to see our son in great discomfort , pain not to mention much stress during the 8 weeks of lock down period. Due to this incredible service and heroic professionalism of Hr Hyer and his team ,our sons illness was very quickly diagnosed and he was fast tracked onto the correct medication . We have since had further regular after care visits to see Dr Hyer and our son continues to get better and get stronger . We are not quiet sure what we would do if our son was not under the care for Dr Hyer and his team for the foreseeable future . Our son would be devastated to say the least!! Also a big heartfelt thank-you to Dr Hyer truly amazing and caring team for the constant support and advise during our son's illness. They have always been there anytime we required guidance and assurance . We have been totally overwhelmed by the support and care shown to our son and we would not have an ounce of concern recommending Dr Hyer to anyone seeking medical care in his field . Truly Amazing Service - Thank-you Dr Hyer!!

The care that my child received from Dr Hayer and his team during the Coronavirus Lockdown was exceptional. We did worry whether my child would continue to receive the care that he needed during lockdown. But he continued to have his appointments as usual.
